Accredited by the College of American Pathologists

The Accreditation Committee of the College of American Pathologists (CAP) has awarded accreditation to Life Hope Labs based on results of a recent on-site inspection as part of the CAP’s Accreditation Programs.

The facility’s director, Dr. David Eagerton, was advised of this national recognition and congratulated for the excellence of the services being provided. Life Hope Labs is one of more than 8,000 CAP-accredited facilities worldwide.

Accreditation is vital for a laboratory to demonstrate that it performs at a level in which its partners and clients can be confident of its work. We consider CAP to be the best in the world, and we are extremely honored to have this organization validate our excellent work and commitment to our clients. This is especially gratifying in that we were able to accomplish this in a time of unprecedented growth and challenge for our laboratory. This is the result of a team effort that includes every member of our laboratory, each of whom works tirelessly day in and day out to ensure that we produce accurate and timely results.
Dr. David Eagerton
LABORATORY DIRECTOR
I’m immensely proud and grateful for the efforts of our steadfast and talented staff here at LifeHope Labs. CAP is the highest measure of a diagnostic laboratory’s commitment to science, precision, and patient care. CAP inspection is an arduous endeavor, and I cannot thank our staff enough for their dedication and professionalism throughout this process, while at the same time continuing to serve the public in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic. We at LifeHope Labs look forward to continuing this standard of care for our clients in the years to come.

The U.S. federal government recognizes the CAP Laboratory Accreditation Program, begun in the early 1960s, as being equal-to or more-stringent-than the government’s own inspection program.

During the CAP accreditation process, designed to ensure the highest standard of care for all laboratory patients, inspectors examine the laboratory’s records and quality control of procedures for the preceding two years. CAP inspectors also examine laboratory staff qualifications, equipment, facilities, safety program and record, and overall management.
